1/9/16: Florida Woman Allegedly Steals Thousands from UPS
Police told the press the owner of the UPS store on Santa Barbara Boulevard called Collier County Sheriff’s Office this summer after an employee was stealing money from the store. The owner told police she believed her employee was stealing packages from customers and returning them for cash.
The owner told police she was able to determine that over $15,000 was stole since November of 2014. Ana Maria Ivanov allegedly made false returns worth over $4,000 since July of this year. Detectives interviewed Ivanov on Thursday, who also goes by the names Guerra and Solis. The suspect allegedly told police she needed the money for a family member in need. Ivanov was charged with grand theft and fraudulently obtaining property under $20,000.
