8/27/15: Woman Drives Wrong Way and is Arrested for DUI and Battery

28-year-old Tampa resident Heather A. Rundquist was arrested for DUI after police officers pulled her over in Tampa Palms for driving the wrong way. A 911 call reported a 2005 black Hyundai Elantra driving very quickly in the wrong direction. The car ran through a red light, hit a curb, and blew out a front tire.

Police report that the driver, Lundquist, was uninjured but very inebriated. Rundquist’s recorded BAC tests came back repeatedly over two times the legal limit in Florida. Authorities claim she became hostile and physically aggressive with police ultimately kicking an officer in the chest.  She was then taken to the ground and arrested. The kicked officer was not injured in any way.

Heather A. Rundquist was sent to Hillsborough County Jail with a $2,500 bail. If you or someone you know has been arrested for DUI or accused of hitting a police officer, contact the Law Offices of Viacava & Cantor at 239-672-8934 for your best chance in court.
