1/9/15: Florida Highway Patrol Arrests Canadian Man on Six DUI-Related Charges
Florida Highway Patrol reported to the press that a Canadian man was arrested and charged with six DUI-related offenses. Martin Bessette allegedly caused a four car crash after rear ending one vehicle.
Bessette told police that he looked away from the road for a moment, which caused him to crash. A line of cars had accumulated at a red light and caught Bessette off guard. Authorities reported that Bessette was found pacing around his vehicle with no shoes or shirt. Bessette’s girlfriend was trapped in the car and had to be freed by the authorities. Paramedics took Bessette, his girlfriend, and two other people to the hospital. Bessette’s bond was set at $20,000. If you or someone you know is charged with DUI, your choice of lawyer is important.
